What is the purpose of the Doodle DNA Challenge?
The Doodle DNA Challenge aims to bring attention to the problem of fraudulent online doodle sales and to assist those who have fallen victim to these scams. By undergoing the Embark DNA Test, contestants can share their findings on social media to aid others who have experienced similar situations. Additionally, the competition offers a platform for participants to share their personal accounts.
The Embark Dog DNA Test analyzes over 200,000 genetic markers to help give accurate results to pet parents. Embark is more than a dog breed DNA test—it’s also a dog health and wellness tool that can help screen for genetic adult-onset diseases like glaucoma, degenerative myelopathy and dilated cardiomyopathy.
Contest Rules
Eligibility: The contest is available to United States residents who have bought a doodle online or from a pet store and believe they may have been deceived. All entrants must be 18 years or older and have a valid Instagram account in good standing.
Entry: Follow Hands2paws on Instagram and provide a brief description explaining why you should be selected as one of the four winners. In your entry, please share your experience of purchasing a doodle online or from a pet store and why you suspect you may have been deceived. Be sure to include your dog’s name, age, weight, and the online ad, kennel, or broker you used. Entries that do not include this information will not be considered.
Selection of Winners: Four winners will be selected from all eligible entries received during the contest period.
Prize: Each winner will receive a free Embark DNA test kit.
Contest Period:
The competition will take place from May 30, 2023, to June 9, 2023. Entries must be submitted by midnight on June 9th to be considered.
The winners of the Doodle DNA challenge will be required to conduct a DNA test on their dog and submit the results to Embark no later than June 21st. The winner must provide a complete analysis of their dog’s genetic makeup. Additionally, winners must provide proof of the DNA test results to Hands2paws and agree to allow the use of their dog’s genetic information for research and promotional purposes related to the contest. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.
Winners will be announced on June 12th and have 24 hours to respond otherwise another entrant will be selected.
Winners of the Doodle DNA challenge must conduct a DNA test on their dog using the Embark DNA Test Kit and submit the results back to us no later than August 1st, 2023.

General Conditions: Hands2paws reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest at anytime. Hands2paws is not responsible for any late or misdirected entries. By entering the contest, participants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Hands2paws.
In addition to taking the Embark DNA test and sharing their results on social media, the winner agrees to permit hands2paws use of their story, results, and image of their doodle in future postings or media submissions. #DoodleDNAChallenge
No Negative Postings: Hands2Paws will not respond to or tolerate negative postings about the contest, its rules or the participants. Anyone who engages in negative or derogatory behaviour on social media will be blocked and reported. The contest is intended to be a positive and educational experience for all participants, and Hands2paws reserves the right to remove any content that is deemed inappropriate or offensive. Any referencing to Adopt Don’t Shop or shelter comments will be deleted.
